AMG CLK63: BLACK EDITION

If the new CLK63 still sports too conservative of lines and you want a little more oomph in the looks department then look no further than the CLK63 Black Edition. This beast of a car now sports the power we've come to expect but styling cues more reminiscent of a GT car.



To create a Black Edition, they add a 500-hp version of the 6.3L V8 that can push the CLK to an electronically governed 186mph after passing 60mph in a scant 4.1 seconds. The wider carbon-fiber fenders enclose 19-inch forged aluminum wheels that themselves enclose composite brake rotors measuring 14.2 inches in front and 13 inches in the back. Lots of additional vents in the front valence and fenders help to manage airflow for cooling and downforce. The limited slip differential in the rear also has it's own oil cooler with a thermostatically controlled fan.
