MCLAREN F1 CRASH

This video is both brutal and sad because it shows the destruction of such a beautiful car. The footage is of the McLaren F1 Supercar undergoing a simulated head-on collision at the Motor Industry Research Association (MIRA) crash testing facility in the UK. The clip clearly demonstrates the benefits of the car’s carbon fiber monocoque structure, which proved so secure that the Mac Daddy became the only car ever to be driven away from a MIRA test.

At least the mid-mounted BMW V12 engine wasn’t damaged in the crash.
