Adam Carolla to Host American Top Gear?

We brought you news months ago about NBC importing the BBC’s killer car show Top Gear to the U.S. Immediately following the announcement, rumors of who would host the U.S. show was spread between Jerry Seinfeld and Jay Leno but now Adam Carolla is claiming that he will be the chosen one.

According to Adam Carolla, the host of Loveline and The Man Show, he's gone on to use radio time on his 97.1 Free FM broadcast to announce that he indeed would be the host. While there are no confirmations from any executives at NBC we can only hope that this is just a joke.
