SUPER LEGGERA PUT TO REST.

With barely enough time to breath from its exciting introduction to the world, the short-geared Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera has passed a quiet death. With only 172 examples ever made (10 in white, 34 in gray, 37 in black, 45 in yellow and 46 in orange) it is now official that they'll all be part of a exclusive collection of very collectible vehicles that should be worth some bucks years from now. Rumor has that the departure of the Superleggera comes hot on the heels of the introduction of the new LP560-4 and makes room for a new stripped out Gallardo.

Then again we all probably know that the real deal is that the Super Leggera never did have a great sales record. And that's something they should have already expected since the only real major difference (visually) is the sticker on the side of the car.
