SSC ULTIMATE AERO TT HITS 241 MPH BUT....

The folks who created the Ultimate Aero TT and the SSC just recently tested their vehicle out in Nevada hoping to beat the Bugatti Veyron in terms of top speed. Their failed attempt earned them a good run at 230 mph on March 22nd so they went back to the drawing board to tighten up some loose ends. After finishing off a few fixes and managing some tweaks they came back on May 22nd where they fell 0.6 mph short while managing to achieve a 241.4 mph run.
The reason? According to them, they were only at 71 percent of throttle and they didn't really want to beat the record, rather they were testing the transmission cooling system.
OK...now you can all start laughing along with me because you know, as well as I do that this is all a bunch of nonsense. What exotic car maker doesn't want to take out the Bugatti Veyron's record top speed especially if they were only short some 14 mph and only at "71 percent of throttle." C'mon guys! Stop the BS. You're starting to lose credibility here.
