DON'T STOP BELIEVING: THE CADILLAC BLS

Looking like a hybrid of an Audi A6 station wagon with a Cadillac Escalade front end, the Cadillac BLS isn't too bad looking of a car. But since its debut in Europe early in 2006, it hasn't done so well and if anything it makes the old school Cadillac Cimarron look like a triumphant hero - and that's sad considering the BLS failed to break four figures.



But this isn't stopping Cadillac from pushing forward and believing in it. The BLS is actually based on the Saab 9-3 and this time around they're introducing it at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. At the show, Cadillac will introduce a BLS station wagon that will be available for sale starting in November. The BLS will also add the turbocharged E85 flex-fuel Saab BioPower engine as a new option at the same time as the wagon. A new 1.9L two stage turbo-diesel four cylinder with 180hp will be a further option.

My only question is, "Why don't they bring that down here to America?" You could only imagine just how well they'd do if they offered a more affordable "Cadillac" that was half decent on gas. Then to top it off this bad boy looks like it could easily fit a 24-inch rim and tire package.
