SUPER LAMBO: COULD IT BE TRUE?

A thread on FerrariChat is sending goosebumps through the Lambo community with talk of a special, $1.5 million halo Lamborghini that'll be based on the Murciélago LP640. The backstory is this: An insider had said the car would be unveiled to a "very select" group at this week's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. Word is 20 will be built (15 coming to the US), and it'll debut at the Frankfurt auto show in September. Another poster added the car will not be shown in Monterey, will cost $1,625,000, and that the entire first run is sold out. But latest word is the Lambo inner circle got a first look at a 1:4 scale model of the car last week at Santa Monica airport. It's allegedly inspired by a jet fighter, and will only come in jet-fighter gray with a military-green interior and jetlike instrument panel. Of course, some on the FC board are challenging those allegations too, so we really won't know what's what until Frankfurt. Either way, considering all the chatter in the pipeline, expect something.
