YOU TRICKY BASTARDS YOU!

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

If you watched the Bourne Ultimatim you were probably impressed as Matt Damon could dodge bullets, lean out a window to shoot, all the while pulling off wheel maneuvers that would make Tazio Nuvolari hang it up. Acting and driving, just like brains and a blond simply don't mix. They've just never worked and nothings changed as all of Matt's tricks were performed by a stunt driver.

But in the movie they make it look so damn believable! True. They couldn't pull off a full 360-degree pan of the interior without hiding the driver so they threw the driver out - literally. The filmmakers got creative and had a large tubular safety cage bolted to the roof so that a not-insubstantial driver could point the Touareg where it needed to go via extended controls.

The contraption was an extra 500 pounds on the roof but it allowed the camera to pan inside the vehicle without showing the actual pilot.

Good job Matt.

Not!
