THE MAZDA TAIKI FLOWS

Mazda has just released early pictures of its Mazda Taiki which is set to be launched at the Tokyo Motor Show. The car, which looks really, really ugly, is the fourth in a Nagare design series. The front-engine rear-drive Taiki is powered by Mazda's next-generation RENESIS rotary engine and although Mazda failed to release any further information about the drive train they did talk about the very "flowing" but awkward design. According to Mazda, the vehicle was inspired by the image of a pair of Hagoromo – the flowing robes that enable a celestial maiden to fly in Japanese legend – floating down from the sky."
We believe 'em.
