MORE GM SHIFTS TAKE A DIRT NAP.

Just a few days ago we found out that a second production shift would be eliminated at the Hamtramck assembly plant and now more news has arrived that even more cuts have just been made. The second shift at the Pontiac MI truck plant will be dropped in May 2008. This is currently the plant that builds 45 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra pickups per hour on two shifts. A slump in the econonomy as well as the decline of the housing market has hit pickup sales very hard as construction has taken a huge hit.
