NEW MCLAREN SUPERCAR - CODENAME P11

If you're waiting for McLaren's new supercar then you'd better just give up now. The supercar, codenamed P11 but still officially unnamed, is reportedly all sold out. The car will reportedly use vast quantities of both aluminum and carbon fiber, aiming to keep its weight below that of the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera or Ferrari’s F430 Scuderia. According to McLaren insiders, CAR Magazine has said that the P11 will weigh in at around 1200 kg, which, coupled with a 500-hp 6.3-liter V-8 sourced from Mercedes’ AMG group, may put 0-60 mph times in the sub-four second range.

If you seriously are interested in getting on that waiting list, act fast. CAR puts annual production at less than 5,000 units, making the P11 likely to become a hot commodity in the supercar world. Production should start sometime around 2010, but from what we've heard they're already all accounted for.
